Philosophy and science solved humanity´s deepest mystery: love. Why do we need it, and can we have it unconditionally? Stefan Deutsch brings you his research-backed revolutionary theory: love is nourishment. We need it unconditionally to thrive, and every relationship in our life – romantic or platonic – can use a huge infusion of it.

Dear Global Human Development and Stefan,

I think you and your team of psychologists have done an amazing job with this app. Immediately, I can think of many people, and segments of society, who would benefit from this course as well as having those in therapy experience an enhanced therapeutic process.
Discovering that Love is nourishment, and applying it to mental health, was a brilliant pioneering step.

I am on week eighteen, and I can see how the various steps mirror much of the process of therapy – looking at language, owning feelings, recognition of behaviours that work against harmonious relationship, etc. You gently and encouragingly help the users take ownership of these parts of themselves, recognizing how they have become a victim of the behaviours that are rooted in their own painful histories as they replay these patterns. In learning this, they can draw on the power they hold to change these patterns. You lovingly help them accept these parts of themselves, recognizing that this is just part of them and not all of them. So nicely done.

I like the concreteness of developing new skills to deal with these very human feelings, recognizing that the lack of these skills is not a personality deficit, but rather something that needs to be learned. I like how you take them step by step, patiently, through this process of developing the skills and changing behaviours. Great application of Gestalt, CBT, and NLP.

I imagine this app being a tool supporting personal behavioral change and the therapeutic process and helping both take ownership, daily, of their growth. Clearly, it does not replace therapy, but as an educational tool, I believe learning to use these tools will enhance the therapeutic process. For those who are not in therapy, it is a great skills development tool that will definitely help navigate many of the challenges that living brings.
The voices of the speakers are wonderfully warm and encouraging. Each of the many lessons speak to me personally. You have really found the universal elements that we all struggle with.  So far, I am really impressed.

The first thing we say when people tell us about a mistake they made is, “It’s okay! We all make mistakes.” For some reason we never tell ourselves that it’s okay. And we should!!! The App has allowed me to forgive myself for mistakes and to feel okay without having others make it OK.

Would you recommend other people use this app? Yes, because sometimes you don’t have anyone to talk to, and this app helps you to be open and comfortable with your own thoughts.

  • Overall, I am enjoying reflecting on myself and paying more attention to my thoughts and behaviors throughout the day. – Rachel Grohbrugge, Yeshiva University’s Grad School research Team Leader
  • The app is greatly inspirational and ingenious. Does wonders for people like me who are still struggling with self-love- Balach Jalbani, Adelphi University’s research group
  • Consistent use helps with my mood. Now I am generally more positive & optimistic. Just a few moments throughout the day to reflect has been extremely calming and the app is convenient. Galileo Alkalay, Blake Katz’s Yeshiva University doctoral research group
